*great, attentive, smiling service from everyone - management, housekeeping and front desk, luxurious beds - best sleep ever!
The rooms were clean and maintenance staff were very friendly
The front desk staff definitely need to work on their customer service skills. Each time we approached the desk, no one initiated the conversation. Instead they would continue what they were doing for an inappropriate amount of time until I had to ask them to assist me. It's a shame that such a beautiful hotel was overshadowed by the extremely poor front desk team
The friendliness of the staff. The facilities were great: pool/hottubs facing the lake, gym, yoga classes that could be booked. Best of all, pets are allowed.
Lovely upscale property , spacious , impeccable rooms full gourmet kitchens , awesome outdoor pool, waterslide and hot tubs
The pool was lovely, as was the hot tub. The room's kitchen was well outfitted. Linens were lovely.
I had a street-view room that looked out on a noisy thoroughfare. Had it been summer, I would not have been able to comfortably be in the room with the balcony doors open because of the noise.
The staff of the Watermark was fantastic. The room was great.
The continental breakfast did not begin until 8:00 and it did not meet my travel schedule.
The resort was, new, modern, and it felt like a resort. I loved the look and design of the building. The terra cotta colors were warm and inviting like other resorts I've experienced in places like Arizona and Mexico. I would certainly consider staying at the Watermark again and would definately recommend this resort to friends and family.
I felt the pool and hot tub area lacked safety and securiity. Kids on the slides were shooting down in rapid succession, 5,6, and 7 at a time. I'm extremely surprised I didn't see any bloody noses or worse arise from the ordeal. Kids, particularily older ones were walking up and down the slide because sliding on their butts just wasn't fun enough. It was all just an accident and lawsuit waiting to happen. I was also disappointed that nobody, including the adults with kids heeded the "Adults only please" sign on the one hot tub. I found that to be particularily annoying. Just like a stop sign, it defeats the purpose of having it if no one is willing to enforce it. Shame on those parents who chose to ignore it and staff who seen the infractions and chose to nothing about it. Other than that, my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves.
When we arrived they had upgraded us to a one bedroom suite which provided us with additional facilites within the room. The room was very spacious and the kitchenette area was fully stocked with everything you could need - shame we were only staying for the 3 nights! The resort itself was very nice and clean and the facilities on offer were very good and of a high standard - we used the pool which was very nice if a bit crowded earlier in the day but this gave us the opportunity to have a look around the waterfront as well. The staff were very helpful and gave us several good tips in relation to wineries to visit as well - all in a very enjoyable stay and we have already recommended the resort to friends.
45 minute wait to check in. Disappointed that the government rate had increased
Room was very nice - clean and spacious
The check in process was terrible. Very rude staff. She made a large mistake and checked us in as the wrong person and overcharged us by $800. Did not apologise at all and actually whispered under her breath. Her guest service was poor.
Enjoyed the suite and the view. Great to be able to bring my dog
The front desk staff were not very informed on local knowledge ie food, rentals
Nice clean comfortable place, easily accomodates 6 in our 2 bedroom suite with sofa bed. Our room over looked the pool, beach and lake. Would recommend to other travellers.
The Watermark is a wonderful get-away resort. I would highly recommend it to anyone who just wants to relax on the beach or have a family vacation, The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and classy--providing great value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The resort faces the beach and is designed to ensure the privacy of its guests. It is also pet friendly and right in the heart of BC wine country. What's not to love?
If potential guests are looking for an exciting night-life and lots of shopping, this is not the place for them. However, my companions and I were quite happy to escape the noise and temptations of the big city.
Very nice facilities and optimal location.
When I walked into the suite I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was and was not expecting a balcony which was an added bonus. In the morning we sat out on the patio and enjoyed the city/mountain view. We are planning another trip as a family and would love to be able to stay at this hotel again. I will and have told my friends and family about this hotel and have shown them pictures and they too are impressed.
